At JUST ECO, we’ve always believed that retired IT equipment still has a story left to tell. Since 2001, our work has been built on the principle that pre-owned technology – handled responsibly – holds genuine value. That value isn’t only measured in rands.
Recently, we had the privilege of donating a batch of fully refurbished laptops, each loaded with licensed software and backed by 12 months of warranty coverage, to a non-profit organisation supporting a secondary school. The photos that came back from the school say more than we ever could.
Learners seated at desks, hands on keyboards, screens glowing – engaged, focused, and connected to a world of possibility that quality technology opens up.
Why this matters to us
Every device we purchase from a corporate or institutional client goes through a rigorous refurbishment process. We assess, repair, clean, reload, and test each unit to a standard we’re proud to stand behind. When a device isn’t sold on, it isn’t simply discarded – that would defeat everything we stand for. Instead, it finds its way through our donation programme to schools and non-profit organisations that can put it to genuine use.
This is what our B-BBEE Socio-Economic Development (SED) Donation service is designed to do: connect the end of one technology lifecycle with the beginning of another – for a learner who might otherwise go without.
